Jessica Jones: my favorite character

Jessica Jones is a series from the marvel's world about the comeback of Killgrave, the villain, and the obsession that he has with Jessica Jones, his old mental slave, that he forced to live with him, through mental control even to her death. After his arrived, Jessica Jones start a persecution to kill him and stop the deaths he achieved to be with Jessica.

Jessica Jones is the best character from my favorite series, first because she has an interesting life story, also because she is out of the woman stereotype from the superheros series and last because of her life story and she lives in the present, it’s interesting that even she has powers she didn’t consider herself a hero.

The story of Jessica Jones start with a car accident when she lost her family. For that reason and in that accident, Jessica got her powers in a casual way - super strength and super jump -. After she got her powers, Jessica meet the villain of the series, Killgrave, who has the ability of control minds. He find Jessica and with his powers force her to stay next to him and also make her commit a murder. That leaves her with a life trauma.

It’s interesting to see this character far from the traditional stereotypes from marvel series. After killgrave disappearance, she rent an apartment in New York, where she lives alone working as and private investigator. She also start with a drinking problem for her past trauma. Her relationships start being casuals, totally far from the romantic stereotype related to the women and most of the series with female characters. For this Jessica Jones is a clear example where dosen’t exist female stereotypes.

Is interesting that even Jessica Jones has these powers, she doesn’t use it in her normal life or to do good like most of the superheros. Working as a private investigator, she only use her powers is when she needs to chase her investigated. For that reason, Jessica consider herself an antihero.

Jessica Jones is a character that had a hard story life, where because of her trauma she become an empowered woman out of the traditional  female stereotype. Also , even having powers, she consider herself an antihero.
