Hello everyone !

Today I’m going to talk about some changes that I could be made in my career. Journalism in the University of Chile is a very interesting career but there are some things that I would change.

 I have noticed that we had so many assistants subject which are an extra and unnecessary academic workload that shouldn’t be done in all cases. We have so many hours and we don’t do so much work.

Other thing that makes me feel uncomfortable with this career is the lack of equipment because every year enter more and more students and the institute isn’t prepared to receive them. In second and third year of this career, I have to wait for days to be able to order a camera or a recorder, is in unacceptable situation. Added to that, the classroom like the computation classroom are very small en peccary for the students.

Another subject is the professionals that work here because not all of the professors are good teaching. For example, I have very bad teachers at the first and second year. That’s caused me to had a very bad base in editing and others important subjects. Some professors that I had didn’t even do their classes but they did the assistant.

The most unacceptable of all are some teacher that make macho comments like “The good thing about spring is that girls wear short skirts” and that is awful.

Actually I’m looking for practices and I don’t know if I’m preparing for that.

Sherlock and Gary

The last year the mom of my boyfriend give us a little en black dog. Nobody could stay with him but after so many conversation we decide to keep it and we called Sherlock, like Sherlock Holmes.  In that time Sherlock was a little dog. My mom has another dog called Luna that was a poodle toy and Sherlock was the same height. But with the time he grew up to a middle height. He is the most beautiful and kindly dog but he makes many disasters. Also, I have a bunny to. I bought it two years ago and his name is Gary, because I bought one day after Chile was Champion. Gary is a fat rabbit and, with luck, he go outside his house to the garden and jump an hours.  Sherlock and Gary are enemies. That it’s a reason for Gary go outside just in the nights.   Anyway, I love Sherlock, Gary and Lunita. They confort me when Im sad and they shining my days. Some days I just need a lick of theirs and feel the energy that they transmit me.

My future job?

Actually I’m studying journalism, although I don’t like it so much. However… the journalism has a variety of approaches, from journalism in media, television, radio, newspaper, until consultancy. Personally, I find myself working in some non-traditional media. I do not like big companies because I think the information they deliver was manipulated by media owners. I imagine working on a community radio and doing audiovisual work for an organization. I certainly would not want to be locked in office writing. The advantage you have is the journalist who is always moving, in search of the news. One of the things I like is a radio work and leave a report of the important guidelines of the day, and if it gets to focus on the audiovisual, the possibility of going out to record on the streets. I would love the trips to relate to my work. Being able to travel and once earning money is something that at least I want to do once in a lifetime. I believe that traveling will mix the area ...

My English Experience

Hi for the last time. Today im going to speak about mi experience with english in college. I think my experience in this university has been precarious. It’s not about the teachers, but there is a lot of people and time is not enough for each one. Also there is too many classes in the career and it makes english less priority. I had classes in Tronwell Institute before and the frequency of classes and the concern of teachers helped me a lot. But like everything, without practice you start to forget things. I think blogs are helping me. I mean, I had to understand what are my classmates talking about to write a coherent commentary. And writing my owns blogs makes me to write better. But my ideas are not in english, I think in spanish and translate and it’s not the right way. I forget about conjugations and verbal tense. And my tongue get dizzy when I speak in english for the same reason. It’s very difficult to me. I watch movies with original audio and listen to...
